The Morning Glories Herald School

Morning glory

Today, Aug. 28, morning glories bloomed for the first time this year in my garden.

Yikes! Where did the summer go.

Oh, right. RAGBRAI.

Anyway, I’m suddenly in a fall frenzy and the semester has not started yet. The MMU student newspaper is waking up and settling into a new office, I have 4 (four!) classes this fall, one of 4-hours, and it seems the summer is but a fond memory.

Today, for the first time, morning glories bloomed. No moon flowers yet, and only blue morning glories (I planted a variety), but this late summer flower heralds the arrival of fall.

Well, let it come. I may wish for more summer, but I want to get back to school, too. At least one of my wishes will come true!
